Back To School 2006

Approximately 30,000 backpacks were distributed by area churches and organizations in Tampa Bay and beyond. The backpacks come filled or unfilled depending on the needs of the groups. The backpack distribution spurred several community outreaches. We received a testimony from a boy that was so thankful that he would have the school supplies he needed and wouldn't be laughed at. A mother wrote in to say how thankful she was that she had help with children's school supplies.

It is exciting to see God using the vehicle as a means to mobilize His Church. People in need receive God's love in a practical way. Thank you all who have help to support this outreach. A special thank you goes out to Target who gave up great deals on the supplies, allowing us to bless so many individual. "I want to personally thank you all for the help you have given us concerning the backpacks and the helium, balloons, and prayer booths. The [Backpack] Block Party was a big hit in the town! Front page news! BUT that is not the real blessing or the reason why we had the party. God was in the midst of it all. God was moving about the land we had the party on, God was stirring people's hearts! God was pouring out salvation upon those who attended! Within the first half hour three people came to salvation! I still do not know the tally of those who attended but souls were ministered to. Thank you for your part in all this. May God bless you and we'll see you next year."
