History

Somebody Cares Tampa Bay began in 1996 with the calling to unite the churches across Tampa Bay. Needing a common cause, Daniel Bernard invited pastors to meet and pray once a month.

Attendance at the prayer meetings grew to the point where it became necessary to split into smaller groups. There are currently seven monthly meetings: North Pinellas, South Pinellas, Central Pinellas, Tampa, Brandon, Plant City and Pasco County.

By gathering pastors together on a regular basis, Somebody Cares Tampa Bay can facilitate the exchange of ideas, network churches across denominational lines and focus the power of prayer for the entire bay area.
