Supper Bowl 2009

We have a great event for you to participate in on Saturday, January 24, 2009. Supper Bowl II is a celebrity bowling and family festival fundraising event. The fundraising will center on bowling at Splitsville, which is located in the Channelside area in downtown Tampa. Somebody Cares Tampa Bay has created an opportunity for local organizations to “roll in the dough” for their charity. There will be music in the plaza, games, inflatable’s, and discounts to the Aquarium and to restaurants in the Channelside area. Somebody Cares Tampa Bay’s goal is to raise over $100,000 for local charities through Supper Bowl II.

Twenty charities and twenty lanes will be available to raise funds. View list of current organizations involved. We request that your organization field a team of 8 bowlers. Those friends of the charity would solicit people to sponsor the team. The sponsor is committing to a contribution based upon the final team score. The sponsorships funds that would be raised through bowling would be raised as follows: 8 bowlers usually bowl an average score of 100, which is a total team score of 800. Assuming that your sponsors commit to donating $.25 times the amount of the total score, the sponsor would pay your organization a donation of $200.00. Using this same scenario, a donation of a nickel times the total score, would total $40.00; a dime times total score, would total $80.00; and a dollar per pin would total $800.00.

Answers for many frequently asked questions may be found on our FAQ page. Corporate sponsorships are also available for businesses that would like to be included in blessing our community through this event. Supper Bowl II may be used by local businesses as a team building event and/or you may be able to encourage local businesses to raise funds on your behalf through Supper Bowl II.
