Since 2001, Somebody Cares Tampa Bay (SCTB) has brought thousands of pounds of food into the Tampa Bay area to help feed the hungry. SCTB seeks the resources to provide for the transportation costs of food donated from Operation Blessing delivered monthly. We also receive donations from other vendors. When we receive a truckload of food, we unload it at our distribution site and provide it to ministries who use the food to feed the hungry. With each Operation Blessing delivery, around 30,000 pounds of food is distributed through our expansive network of partnering organizations. SCTB pledges $2000 towards the solvency of the Operation Blessing's nationwide transportation program each time they arrive in the Tampa Bay area. One truckload of food can provide 1,920 families, or 7,680 individuals, with meals. This equates to feeding a minimum of 23,800 people per month, or 276,800 people annually. If you would like to help us keep the food trucks rolling, call 727-536-2273 or click make a donation.
