Here at Somebody Cares Tampa Bay we want to take the time to recognize the people and organizations that partner with us. Each month we will take a moment to share with you one of our partners and what they do.
Suncoast Cathedral Church
Suncoast Cathedral is a spirit-filled gathering of believers in fellowship with the Assemblies of God in St. Petersburg, FL with Senior Pastor Tim Suddreth. It is friendly and family-oriented, dedicated to bringing God's Presence, Power and Purpose to St. Petersburg and the Tampa Bay area. They are passionate about helping people connect or reconnect with God and seeing lives transformed.
Pastor Tim Suddreth and his wife, Janet, have committed to partnering with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay in a variety of ways. First, we want to thank them and their group of volunteers for participating in CareFest this past year. They went out into the community and tackled several homeowners projects. Suncoast Cathedral also partnered with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay by taking part in our two-part evangelism training workshop. This training is designed to equip church members to write and share their own testimony as a fundamental tool in sharing the gospel. We help put their testimonies in a foldable tract that they can then hand out to people they meet as a way to plant seeds for God's Kingdom.
Most recently, they have gone above and beyond our expectations in their willingness and efforts to host our first quarterly ministry leaders meeting of the year on January 20th, 2022 with our guest speaker Dr. Terry Teykl. We are grateful for the active role they play in both unifying the Body of Christ and touching the lives of the community through outreach.
Partnering with local churches is so important and coincides with our mission statement, "Unifying and empowering the Christian community ... to meet the spiritual, physical, and material needs of people in Tampa Bay." Partnering with Suncoast Cathedral has been a pleasure, as they have assisted us in unifying and empowering the Church through hosting our quarterly ministry leaders' meeting; assisting with community needs, both physical and material, by participating in CareFest; and equipping their members to meet the community's spiritual needs through their participation in evangelism training. "We can do more together than we can apart," so let's continue to work together to increase the impact we have in the world as we advance God's Kingdom!
