The Legacy of Wilson Okotie

We are saddened and heartbroken that my son in the Lord, my friend and co-laborer in the work in Nigeria tragically contracted Typhoid fever and malaria. I believe he contracted this when he took a large supply of food to the Ijaw villages where people were starving because of the restraints that were put on them due to the Coronavirus.

For 27 years, Wilson sacrificed for his people. Through these sacrifices, he and his wife, Praise, established 14 churches where there was no church. This last trip (read here) is where he literally laid down his life for his Ijaw friends.

Please pray for his wife and his children (view above). And, as he would want, we are praying that the church and the mission work of High Impact Christian Centers will flourish. If you would like to help the Okotie family and their needs to continue this mission work, you may do so through Somebody Cares Tampa Bay and earmark it for Nigeria by following the link below.
